INTERESTED CITIES Mljet
TOTAL AREA AND ZONING 5.375 ha
LOCATION Mljet National Park is located on the western side of Mljet island. Native forests of oaks and pines cover over 90% of the park, giving it a particular aesthetic and biological value, for this reason it is called “green island”. With numerous coves, bays and islands, the park is known for two salt lakes, Veliko Jezero and Malo Jezero. The park is rich in several different species of fish, crustaceans, molluscs and other marine organisms. Vineyards and olive groves, on which the island’s economy was based, increase the variety of its landscape.
